If there has been one thing that I have loved/hated about blogging about nutrition and fitness it would be accountability. I can’t preach exercise and healthy eating if I don’t do them myself! Some people may think all personal trainers/fitness enthusiasts just love to workout every day and to east their grilled chicken and broccoli at every meal. This is not the case (at least not for me!) Yes, I love
the feeling I get from exercise, but many days I really would rather be doing something else (such as nicking away at my ever growing to-do list). And I definitely love to eat my sweets (sometimes fruit just isn’t enough!) Having to be accountable to my clients, friends, and followers helps me to keep in check, even if sometimes I may not like it. (And yes, I do still enjoy rest and sweets at times just like everyone else).
I decided to post my post baby pictures now on my blog instead of after I lose weight to help motivate me to get back into my clothes and to help any one that may be on the same journey. These pictures were taken 3.5 weeks after my little one was born. (It has taken me a week to decide if I was going to post them- I am not a a huge fan of the ‘selfie’ craze, especially when I don’t look as good as I would like to. My stats are 155lbs and 28.4% body fat. I took tape measurements as well, because that and body fat percentage are more accurate to show progress than the pounds shown on the scale. My tape measurements are: Rt Bicep- 11.5″, Chest- 39″, Navel- 37.5″ Hip Bone- 40″, Hips at widest point- 42″, Rt Upper Thigh- 22″, Rt Thigh at fingertips- 20.5″, Rt Calf 14.25″.
I want to encourage all of you who may be in the same boat trying to lose the baby weight, and also anyone else who is on this journey. It is not an easy one, but I am here to encourage and support you. And thank you for your support in advance! I can’t wait to post my pictures in a couple months from now. Do you have any ‘before’ or ‘now’ pictures you would like to share with me? You can tag me in the Facebook like link above, or tag me on Instagram @melfitt. Let’s do this together!
