I haven’t really been posting a lot lately besides recipes, even after I said I wanted to do a 30 day blogging challenge. I didn’t quite make my 30 days straight of blogging (I believe I did 3?). Oh well, I am in no way claiming perfection. 🙂 It was hard for me to blog about anything when all I was thinking about and feeling and wanting to share with everyone was that I was pregnant! Yep, number 2 is set to join us around May of next year. My husband and I are so excited to expand our family!
As for trying to write any blog post, it made it really hard to write anything motivating for eating clean or working out, when I was just trying to make it through the day without throwing up. I have felt pretty bad most of this pregnancy so far. I even wrote a whole blog post about it, which I will share tomorrow. I am now in my second trimester, and I was starting to feel better the past 2 weeks, so exercise is starting to make an appearance in my schedule again. However for the last 3 days I have been feeling blah again. I really hope the ongoing nauseousness goes away soon!
This pregnancy my mindset on food is a little different than last time. When I was pregnant with my Roxy I had all intentions to eat healthy and exercise, but my sweet tooth got the best of me more often than I would like to admit. I did exercise often in my second and third trimester, but my say no button to yummy treats was almost non existent. I think it’s because I thought that I was going to gain weight already so why not let loose a little! Well, let’s just say that losing the baby weight took a little longer than I had hoped this year. I finally made it with the help from Metabolic Effect workouts and from Isagenix Nutrition.
This time my mind set is a little different. I really want to incorporate more good nutrition and limit the sweets and other high calorie foods. It has been a little difficult some days because sometimes I just need food to help keep me from feeling nauseous. I was having crackers on me on a daily basis, but then I got sick of them. My latest cravings have been cabbage and white rice. While I know white rice isn’t the best option, there could be worse things that I am craving. I am hoping that as the nausea goes away, I can get back to my normal eating patterns.
At least this time I am pregnant during the cool winter months instead of the hot summer! Now I just need some maternity jeans and a sweatshirt and I am set!
