I prefer to get my workouts done in the morning, but as you all know, life happens and what we may prefer may not be what happens ;). I didn’t get a chance to work out this morning because I arranged my client schedule so we could take Roxy to her absolute. favorite. movie. The Lorax! It was playing at our local theater for $1.50 so we took her.
She loved it! For about 30 minutes. Then the need for her morning nap kicked in and it was over. We left early so she could sleep. (Don’t worry, we have the Lorax readily available on Netflix, and she will not miss the end of the movie. Or the beginning, again and again.)
Back to the work out. This left me needing to do my work out this afternoon.
I grabbed a pair of dumbbells, brought Roxy outside to play in her ‘pool’ (bathtub), an did a circuit standing in front of her. (Don’t worry, I would never leave her sitting in the water!)
So here is the quick at home Back, Bi, Glute and Hamstring workout I did. All you need is a set of dumbbells. It’s a great investment and can even find them cheap at yard sales or flea markets.
1. Squat to bicep curl
2. Plank rows
3. Crossover or curtsy lunges
4. Bent over Row
5. Single leg dead lifts.
Do 12-15 reps. 3-4 sets.
I used 15 lb dumbbells and did 4 sets and it took me about 30 minutes.
I am doing cardio tonight with my friend. She talked me into doing a Zumba class….. Lets just say dancing is not my strength, but I told her I would try it out, so I am. I will let you all know how that turns out. Hopefully nobody takes any video or pictures, or I may be featured in the next YouTube viral video.
Here is my favorite part about my workouts: My Recovery Shake! This is one is the Isagenix Isalean Creamy Chocolate and I add a Tbsp of powdered peanut butter! SO GOOD!!!
Question of the day:
Do you prefer group workouts or flying solo while you train?
Isn’t this the cutest bum you’ve ever seen!!
