Meal planning to me is one of the keys to weight loss success. I found this meal planner on Pinterest so I decided to make one. I love it! I printed some of my favorite recipes on them and also made some blank cards for new recipes I find. I have another post on how to plan and cook meals for the month right here. I made these freezer meals before I gave birth to our little girl in September, and we just ate the last one last night! These have been such a lifesaver for me! I don’t have to think about dinner! I just pull something from the freezer and reheat it in the oven and then throw some veggies in the microwave and viola! dinner!
Making one of these boards is pretty easy and it’s awesome to have this to organize your week. I used an 11 x 14 picture frame and I put fun paper on the cardboard part. I hot glued the clothespins on the left side, and the recipe holder boxes on the right. I used crayon boxes to hold the recipe cards. On the recipe cards I put the name of the dish on one side and the ingredients on the other for easy shopping list making. I also color coded them: red- main meat dish, green- vegetarian dish, yellow-sides, and blue- fish. I left some empty ones so that I can write new recipes on them as I find them. I also made one card for nights out and for leftovers.
Happy meal planning!
