Losing weight on your mind for 2013? Well you are not alone. January and February are always my busiest months in the gym. Everyone has the same guilt from enjoying the holidays a little too much in the respect to food, and then want to do a ‘diet’ to lose the weight fast. My professional advice for 2013: Don’t Diet!! Diets don’t work, changing the way you view food will.
There will be new diet books out there that will sound appealing, and some of them will work, but not for long because you haven’t changed your view on food. Once you adopt a healthy way of eating that you can do the rest of your life, you are on your way to successful weight loss. FOR GOOD! The yo-yo dieting is hard on you physically because it can destroy your metabolism, and it can be even harder on you mentally because it messes with your relationship with food and the relationship with your body. So while you are creating your goals for the coming year, make a resolution to NEVER DIET AGAIN. Instead make it a goal to love your body and treat it the best you can by putting in only good whole foods and getting some form of exercise daily.
