I cook a lot of chicken. A lot. So sometimes I need a switch up and I was looking for something that sounded delicious and rich, and here it is! Pork Marsala. I used more butter and olive oil than I normally would in most recipes, but every once in a while, that ok. It’s all about BALANCE! I found this recipe on Allrecipes and I think it’s a keeper!
Ingredients1/3 cup flour (I usually use almond or rice flour) 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp garlic salt 3/4 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1lb pork loin chops 2 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms 1 tsp minced garlic 1 cup Marsala wine
1. Mix first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Add pork chops and toss until coated.
2. Heat butter and Olive oil over medium heat. Place pork in skillet in a single layer, cook turning occasionally, until brown on both sides. Add mushrooms and minced garlic, cook and stir briefly.
3. Stir in wine, scraping the skillet to loosen any brown bits. Cover and summer over medium heat until pork is tender and sauce is thickened, about 15 minutes.
