Week 3 of my 52 weeks of recipe’s is a juicing/blender recipe. Again I was inspired to intake more veggies and fruits since watching several Netflix documentaries. I threw this one together, not really knowing how it would turn out, but it turned out good!
3 celery stalks
1Tbsp chia seeds Small bunch parsley Small bunch cilantro
Juicing has some amazing benefits. Your body gets the nutrients very quickly because it does not have to take as much time digesting them, you can get a large amount of vegetables in because they broken down so much, and you can get a big variety of veggies in. How many servings of fruit and veggies do you usually eat in a day? I recommend to all my new clients to get 2 of each, but that is still too low for optimum nutrition. One quote from the documentary Hungry for Change said “We are overfed in calories, but starved for nutrition”. That is so very true in our culture. Juicing helps us get many more of those good nutrients our body needs. I am going to try several different recipes for juicing, and I’ll let you know what works and what might not so much, and please feel free to post any of your recipes in the comments.
