Losing baby weight is hard. Losing baby weight during the holidays, even harder. Since my daughter was born in late September that left me with the last 3 months of Halloween, Thanksgiving, my birthday and Christmas and all the food and goodies that goes with them.
People assume that because I do personal training, I have a magical ability to only eat good food, workout every day and lean out quickly. Wrong. No magical powers here! I still like good food and want to celebrate with friends, and now that I have an infant, working out everyday doesn’t always, well, work out! When it was only myself to worry about the only thing I had to fight against was tiredness, but now I also have to fight the clock with the baby and plan workouts according to her ever changing schedule. That hardly means I am throwing in the towel however. I thought I’d be back in my jeans by Christmas, but it is taking longer so here we go! I am down 31lbs so far. So 14 to go, (but of course I want to make it an extra 10 on top of that).
I definitely over Indulged the past couple days. I did what everyone does and was thinking- it’s Christmas it’s just one day. But that’s the problem, it’s not just one day. It’s the day I baked the Christmas cookies, the day of our Christmas party, Christmas Eve and Christmas! I’m telling you this to let you know you are not alone and it doesn’t take some crazy workout person to be successful in their fitness journey. I have my struggles just like you do. I just have to step it up a notch these next couple months to get to my goal! Ready to step it up this coming year?!
