This picture looks all too familiar. I posted a similar one a couple weeks ago! It’s Friday night, I desperately need to go grocery shopping, and my hubby wants pizza.
So he got pizza and I enjoyed my Isagenix shake instead. Now, I am not trying to say I have more willpower than the next person, but I wanted to post this because of the progress I have made in my mindset. I have been super tired this week (thank you baby and toddler) and I was so hungry this afternoon even after I had my lunch that I may have made a couple extra passes at the peanut butter jar this afternoon than I should have. Now my old self would have just said ok whatever, it’s Friday, you already ‘blew’ your diet (I had way too much peanut butter!), just eat the pizza!
I decided that I would feel better if I had something tasty AND healthy for dinner instead of downing several slices of papa johns.
So just know it never has to be an all or nothing mindset. If you go overboard at one meal, just get back on at the next one. You will feel so much better physically and mentally. Get off the restrict and binge yo-yo and find your balance.
Now next obstacle for me to tackle: sleep!
Do you find yourself on a restrict and binge cycle? It is one of the hardest mindsets to get out of. You feel like you have to diet to lose weight, but the second you have something unhealthy or not on your diet, it’s all over and you can’t stop yourself from going overboard. This is an all too familiar place for me, but I am happy to say that pregnancy brought a new sense of balance for me. It doesn’t ever have to be all or nothing! Find your balance and give yourself a break.
